For NBC The Premiere of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon 2014 EMMY NOMINATION for Lighting The challenge: U2 performing for the premiere of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. At Top of The Rock. 70 floors up in Rockefeller Center. At below freezing temperatures . At sunset. With a live audience. This gig had us threading the very tiny needle between two snow storms, but miraculously the perfect sunset illuminated our dazzling city - I just had to light the band. An amazing experience and I was thrilled to see how it turned out. Despite the cold and windburn - it was a cool gig and I was very glad NBC called me to do this.
